Captain Alexandros Gouveris: Alexandros is a Greek native who has loved the sea ever since he was born as his father is a proud sailor and boat owner. He has been sailing for over twenty years and has been a charter captain for over 12 years. He holds an RYA/MCA Yachtmaster Ocean Sail & Power certificate up to 200gt.In the off season months, he works as a sailing instructor. Alexandros will be happy to teach you how to sail and show you the many great places Greece has to offer.

Cook / Hostess Asimina Margelou: Asimina was born in 1971 in Nafplio, growing up near the sea which is her passion. She has gained great experience over the years, working for hotelier services. Guests used to say about her hospitality, cleanliness and willingness to make their vacation a special experience for them and tend their special needs and requests. Also, she is a great and passionate cooker specialized in Mediterranean cuisine. She has professional experience in the production of fresh traditional Greek pasta. Guests will have the chance to taste delicious Greek homemade and unique dishes. She will provide superior hospitality service with friendliness and welcome you warmly with a genuine smile!

Dear Alex and Konstantina, Thank you both so much for taking on the care of the “Command Vessel” for our fleet of 5 catamarans causing a bunch of crazy swimmers from the US. Although the winds kicked up during our final 3 days, securing in a long, bumpy ride home, we appreciated your flexibility in getting us down to Santorini, with refreshing swim stops and visits to other beautiful islands and villages along the way. It was particularly enjoyable experiencing Konstantina’s Greek cuisine which really rounded out our entire experience. Alex showed us the most beautiful spots to swim and sailed us to the western Cyclades and then to the Saronic Islands. The children enjoyed the watersports very much. Thank you Konstantina & Alex for a great 2 weeks. The seamanship and cuisine were superb. Highlights for us were the mooring in Hydra, the rescue of the anchor, infact of many onlookers, the amazing cuisine and Konstantina’s eternal smile. Other great successes enjoyed by the children were the doughnut, kayak, clear waters and the never ending sunsets. The Dustan Family felt totally secure with Alex’s very experiences skills of a young sea dog. In addition, Konstantina smiled 99.95% of the time and did ALL that was asked of her and more with very useful on shore advice.

A HUGE THANK YOU to the crew/team of Idea! BRAVO! Impressed with the team spirit and comradeship of Alex and countless friends everywhere helped us squeeze into unexpected places. Together with our Greek Friends we explored the mysteries of the ancient caves and old deserted temples across the islands that so heavily tried the strength and determination of Ulysses. We are leaving this fantastic place, changed, in our mind and thoughts bearing our rebased souls to the year to come for a NEW ADVENTURE.

Hello Istion, Just wanted to let you know that IDEA is IDEAL We have had a most splendid holiday here in the Cyclades and most definitely want to return to the Greek Islands. Crew is amazing and have gone out of their way to make this trip unforgettable. Your smiling face and delicious cooking , what a treat. Alex is a master sailor, we are all of us in awe of his ability and his willingness to "make it happen" has not gone by unnoticed. The two of them have helped to make this trip surpass our wildest imaginations. We love them both.

We started off in Mykonos so concerned that it was too windy to sail the entire week.

They got us to the calmer waters of Paros and it got better and better.
